Traditional Chinese medicine appears to be particularly effective in dealing with women's problems involving the reproductive system. Dysmenorrhoea or period pain is usually successfully treated by acupuncture. Many women suffer from period pain unnecessarily, they believe it is normal, which it is not. The fact that it is common, does not make it normal, only common. Women who suffer period pain, particularly when younger, should seek help from a Chinese medicine specialist. As period pain is an indicator of imbalances, these imbalances can lead to more serious problems in later life, such as endometriosis.
